Tapas Roy founded Bengal Engineering & Industrial Equipment in 1988. He gained his extensive construction expertise through working in a variety of organizations. Mr. Roy has vast welding, NDT, and management experience, which helped BEIE’s success. Starting his career in the power sector he executed a number of boiler work and served as HOD of QA & QC function for a long time. While working as a HOD he handled construction of the marketing terminal of petroleum. Mr. Roy had extensive experience in piping systems in the oil and gas industry, as well as in the air separation sector. His extensive knowledge of above-ground (unit piping), underground pipeline and other plumbing systems gave the ultimate power to face every challenge. Mr. Roy says, every problem should be treated as a game and an opportunity to learn something new. BEIE, inspired by Tapas Roy's efforts, was the first in India to turn a single fuel burner into a double fuel burner on its own.
